Chances are, quite a bit. Hi, I'm Bret Ridgway and welcome to my personal website. I am an author, speaker and marketer for small businesses and have founded several successful companies and brands over the last couple of decades. I especially enjoy working with speakers, authors and information marketers, helping them to take their business to the next level.
As founder of Get.Ship.Done. and other brands that serve the speaker/author/info marketer niches I've had the opportunity to do a lot of behind-the-scenes work for many of the biggest names in the speaking and information marketing worlds.

To keep on top of things I like to practice what I preach to those clients I work with. It's much easier to understand the world in which your clients live if you also live in that world and can view it from the same perspective as them.

It all began way back in 1992 when I had the fortunate privilege of attending the late Gary Halbert’s “Hurricane Andrew Seminar” in Key West, Florida. Little did I know at the time how that event would change my life and the interesting paths that it would lead me down. Fast forward to 1999. A gentleman named Carl Galletti, whom I had met at that event back in 1992, decided to put on his first Internet Marketing Superconference and asked me if I would come out and handle the back-of-the-room sales.
I didn't even know what back-of-the-room sales was but I hadn't been to Las Vegas before so it sounded good to me. So, I provided the crew, the merchant account that could handle a lot of money and multiple speakers in a short period of time and managed all the money that came from the back-of-the-room sales.
A lot of the speakers at that event were promoters in their own right and that led to a side business managing the sales table for many event promoters. I had the opportunity first-hand to attend well over 100 live events and hear thousands of different speakers over the next 10 years.
When one of those speakers found out I was doing product fulfillment for my own websites (I created the first portal website in the plant engineering and maintenance niche back in 1995), he cornered me at an event and asked if I would take over some product fulfillment for him since he knew it wasn't the best use of his time.
I had been thinking about it for a while because It was a natural outgrowth from all the relationships that I had established from handling the back-of-the-room at dozens of Internet and Information Marketing Seminars. So, the brand Speaker Fulfillment Services (now known as Get.Ship.Done.) was formed in 2003.
Initially, as a natural introvert I was happy to be the behind-the-scenes guy at these events. But, oh, I learned so much about what was working and not working being in the unique position I was in. Eventually, I summoned up the fortitude to move out from the back-of-the-room to the stage myself to share what I had learned with others.
